The Union Hill Middle School, Emerson Middle School and Union City High School JROTC/Young Marines participated in Fleet Week 2024! The Union City Cadets enjoyed performances by and interacted with active duty military personnel. Students boarded U.S. aircraft and battleships! It was truly a memorable experience!

Please be advised on Thursday May 30, 2024 at 6:00PM, the 8th Grade Prom will take place in the Union Hill Middle School Gymnasium, which is located between Hudson Avenue and Park Avenue on 38th Street.

Union Hill Middle School students that passed the district assessments in language arts and math were rewarded with an ice cream social! It was truly an awesome outdoor event!

The Union Hill Middle School recently hosted a Battle of the Homerooms NJSLA Pep Rally, where students put their language arts, math, and science skills to the test in an exhilarating competition. The top-performing classes were rewarded with a field trip! Additionally, students who excelled in the NJSLA assessment last year were entered into a raffle and had the chance to win fantastic prizes such as electric bicycles, laptops, and gaming systems.

The Union Hill Middle School celebrated our esteemed teachers, dedicated medical department, and cherished mothers during the week of May 6th. We paid tribute to our staff with floral arrangements, special shirts, and a delectable taco lunch courtesy of Union City High School's excellent Culinary Program. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our staff whose unwavering dedication truly transforms Union Hill into a home for our students.

We are thrilled to announce that, once again, our district's dedicated team efforts have resulted in success! According to the Education Recovery Scorecard, a collaboration between Harvard and Stanford Universities examining post-pandemic academic recovery, the Union City School District had the least learning loss in the entire state of New Jersey during the COVID-19 pandemic and, while most districts struggled with reading between 2019 and 2022, our students’ reading performance improved!
