Please be advised the Union City High School Freshman Orientation will take place on Tuesday August 20, 2024 for Union Hill Middle School Alumni and on Wednesday August 21, 2024 for Emerson Middle School Alumni. On June 19th, we celebrate the 159th Anniversary of the end of slavery in 1865 in the United States, which is known today as Juneteenth. It is a combination of the month of  'June' and the 'nineteenth' day that commemorates the happy news of newly-freed slaves in Texas at the end of the Civil War.
