Students in Ms. Dobelle's 8th grade Science class at UHMS are learning about classification evolution using an online lab from NOVA. In this lab, they are able to create their own phylogenetic tree of organisms based on similar characteristics. By reading background information on each organism, students can then place them on the virtual board to create their tree of life. The lab will also check to see if students are correct before allowing them to continue to the next level of difficulty in creating evolutionary trees of life.
