Parent Breakfast Workshop Topics: The Effects of Trauma and Violence on Youth, Parent in Preventions, Strengthening Families, & Breast Cancer Awareness

Come and join us at UHMS Cafeteria on October 17th, 2019, at 9 am to discuss three topics:

1.The Effects of Trauma and Violence on Youth" given by Ms. Y Ramos, LSW from Margaret's Place

2. Parent in Prevention, Strengthening Families by Ms. D. Velez from School-Based

3. Breast Cancer Awareness by Ms. Nancy Aleman, Director of Hoboken Family Planning Program

These presentations will cover the common symptoms and behaviors among youth who have been exposed to violence and trauma. We will talk about the Strengthening Families Program and the services available at UHMS. Also, Ms. Aleman will talk about Breast Cancer, the Risks and Prevention and she will offer the FREE PAP Smears and Mammograms certificates to those who qualify.

Esta presentación cubrirá los síntomas y comportamientos communes entre los jóvenes que han estado expuestos a la violencia y el trauma. Hay servicios disponibles aquí en UHMS en Margaret’s Place. Además, dado que es el mes de concientización sobre el cáncer del seno, la Sra Aleman hablará sobre los riesgos y la prevención del cáncer de seno, y también ofrecerá la prueba de Papanicolaou y las mamografías GRATIS a quien califiquen.
