Please take a moment to read this very important message from our Union City Superintendent of Schools Silvia T. Abbato concerning Independence Day. Thank you for taking the time to review.

On June 19th, we celebrate the 160th Anniversary of the end of slavery in 1865 in the United States, which is known today as Juneteenth. It is a combination of the month of 'June' and the 'nineteenth' day that commemorates the happy news of newly-freed slaves in Texas at the end of the Civil War.

What a wonderful day to honor the Class of 2025! Best of luck to all of our students as they continue in their academic careers.
